Does anyone know if or when the SJWA website will post the brackets?

Jamie 3-0 according to the site. You now have to wonder if maybe Jamie has caught up to Andre.

I don't know if its fair to say caught up as if he was ever really behind him. Lets not forget Callendar defeated Petroski in the District Finals when they were Sophomores. Sounds to me more like two wrestlers that are closely matched that can go back and forth depending on what day it is.

Jamie looked really good on his feet this weekend. Several other D1 guys down here doing well. Mazzi (Lasalle) placed 4th. Brennan (Oxford) won it all beating Santry in the finals. He beat PIAA placewinner Bryan Smith in the Quarters and Milligan (Perk Valley) in the semis. Zac Bush looked good till the end. Was TF 15-0 in semi's and lost in 20 seconds to Taylor Walsh from NJ for True 2nd. Several Octorara wrestlers here as well. Josh Smith in the finals as well.

Did anyone take notice of the brackets being switched around from Friday to Saturday in the HS consolation round. When we left Friday night my son was wrestling one opponent, only to come back Saturday to find he was wrestling another. After looking the bracket over carefully I noticed that all the PA kids were placed against each other as well as the NY kids, with the good NJ kids being paired with opponents with lesser records. When I approached the tournament director about the switch I was first told that that is how the computer broke the bracket out. OK fine, but when I told him that my son wrestled the last match of the night and that when we left we had the up to date bracket, he then changed his story to... the computer went down and they had to redo the seating for Saturday. He flat out lied! Because there were three other weight classes that were switched around from Friday to Saturday, so I guess the computer just happened to go down only on those three weight classes. How about a wrestler having to wrestle three matches in a forty minute span or another wrestling seven in a two hour span, and they're just the two I know of or should I say, I witnessed. This was our third year and it will most certainly be the last, way over priced for how poorly it is ran. How many wrestlers almost missed a match because of that ridiculous system of getting the kids to their mat?

Josh Smith was not in the finals.....lost in quarters and took true 2nd. Ed Shupe wins OW. Wish I would have seen Smith and Shupe wrestle............would have been a good one. Very suprised to see Mazzi get destroyed tahe bad by Walsh from NJ. I know he's good but didn't expect a 16-4 match. Looks like Marino from GV and McConnell both were injured and unable to continue. 137 lb bracket was loaded with D1 kids. Gavin Milligan, Tim Santry, Cory Brennan, Joe Carney, Quinn Caliendo, Nick Schmidt, Will Dill and Zak Robinson. Brennan looked really good all day taking 1st. As always a very good tournament with tough competition at every weight.

turks head placers: cory brennen 1st, joe mazzi 5th, matt idelson 5th, evan harkins 5th, colin mcconnel 6th, kyle moran 7th.
i do agree with one of the posts above in that fact that the tourney was not run well at all. everything was extremely overpriced like in order to coach ur kids u had to pay $40, etc..... good experience for the kids regardless but the tournament director should worry less bout making bank for the year and focus on running the actual tourney.

The Mazzi/Walsh match was a lot closer than the score showed. It was a 7-4 match going in to the 3rd period, than mazzi tried to start forcing things, and anyone knows when you try forcing things on Walsh, he is just all types of funkiness. Kyle moran wrestled Walsh very tough losing 1-0. Moran wrestled smart, and did most of offense, Walsh just did a great job defending. The tournament was ran bad, but every kid was wrestling 3 to 4 matches an hour towards the end of the day saturday, so it was fair in the sense that both kids were tired from the match a few minutes earlier. Oh well, badly ran tournament, but like stated before, but good experience for all the kids that went.
ON TAYLOR WALSH: if you haven't seen this flo scramble...you gotta watch how he won Jersey States...nuts!

Also if you notice, that was the last match of the night for NJ States...I wish PIAA could figure out was NJ already has and start switchin it up for the finals, to keep everyone in their seats the whole finals.

I'll second or third that.......GREAT COMPETITION and GREAT Experience for anyone who wrestled!!! However, the tournament was ran chaotic!!! Never knew when someone was wrestling, the process to getting on the floor or to the mat was outrageous....
I just hope that all the coaches, parents, and tourn. directors at the tournament do not get any ideas ($$$$$$) in their heads about the coaching passes, when they decide to run their own tourn. I can see this happening. Again, that was rediculous.
I also heard the NHSCA coaches passes were $100. This is crazy!!
We are still trying to promote this sport, not push people away!!!!!

the difference is the NHSCA coaches passes was that with that $100, the coach is covered for all NHSCA events for that year, they got a key chain, a free years subscription to a wrestling magazine, a t-shirt, and i'm not sure what else. also for a spectator to get into the NHSCA event was $25 each day!!! a little outrageous...

Shane longstreth had a pretty good showing coming out 3 (lost 9-4 for true 2nd but making the finals). Saw matt harkins was also registered to wrestle 121.5 but didnt go due to something regarding an eye injury? Also, was that really d1's james bak that was majored by dylan mogan in the finals?? Minich and Bongard both beat mogan at team states and individuals this year...

At what point did you see anything in my quote about trophies or where my son finished? No where! The point was and still is, the tournament was poorly ran and they made it seem like the money was more important the the kids themselves. There was no reason for them to move brackets around other then to maybe help in determining the outcome. The competition was awesome and they should have just left things as they were. If they were having trouble getting all the matches in then instead of shortening the time between bouts, let less participants in next time.
