IMO I think the ones that have the best shot are in this order Rinaldi, Parker, Marino,Springer. I think who ever wins that quarters match between Parker/Rinaldi goes. I see Marino getting to the semi's and depending on the other side could get a very winable match when he drops down to the consi semi. Springers Quarters is also gonna be a leg up match where he will face another Freshman Joseph DePhillipo from Bonner. This match will be one to watch and the winner would put themself in excellent position to advance.

I totally agree with this, but lets just say Rinaldi loses this match which I dont see happening, Rinaldi will bounce back and most likely move on to Hershey. I see Springer beating DePhillipo. Them two are very good wrestlers, all four of them our very good wrestlers and all telented enough to wrestle in states.

There were 12 (10 from D1, 2 from D12) freshman at regionals last year by my count and 9 of them were at either 103 or 112.
The only one to make it out that wasn't at 103 or 112 was Harner at 140.

Rinaldi is tough enough mentally and physically to make it out

I don't think Rinaldi can beat Parker and I hear Kriczky was injured.

Rinaldi absolutely can beat Parker, the question is, will he? Just as Scotty has what it takes to get it done as well. I know both of these boys and this is anyones match. These two are very close with each other. I give the edge to Rinaldi. Both of them are tough enough mentally and physically to come back through the wrestleback. The issue lies that they would have to go through Eddie Kriczky, Chase Brown and Jimmy Long or Zach Fuentes to do it. That is a tough road to take for anyone. I have faith in both of them to be able to do it, but to say one CAN'T beat the other is totally ignorant to both of these young men. My guess is you are from up North and haven't seen Jason Wrestle in some time. Heck, if I could pick who I wanted to move on, Jason and Scotty will be wrestling eachother Twice in this tournament. The only possible way that happens is after they both have already qualified for Hershey.

DiSanto, Flack, Dutrow (all at 112) and Harner (140) were the freshman state qualifiers, which is above normal., the average over the last 15 years is less than 3. The record was five, in 2004 and 2007. Only 48 freshmen have qualified for states in the AAA SE Region, 40 of them since 1996. 1995 was the last time no freshman qualified for states. Very unlikely that will happen this year.

Did not mean to be ignorant and I'm not from the North. Of course Rinaldi CAN beat Parker. I should have said I predict the Parker will win. My guess is that they all can beat each other except Rappo.

Quick tidbit about Scott Parker... he hasn't been taken down all year... the points fuentes got on him were tilts and an escape... he's a solid wrestler... I think his biggest problem getting to this level is he is still giving up a few pounds...

Fuentes scored two back points in the second period, then got an escape and a takedown in the third.

Frank had flynn beat from marple in ot. Also he was beating Evan Harkins and got taken down in OT, so he is right there with all of those guys.
