Dual Tournament 12/2 Teams Needed

I am the head coach of the Downingtown Middle School wrestling team.  In conjunction with our Downingtown West and "West Side" Booster Club we would love to host a "1st Annual" Dual Tournament on December 2nd 2017.  This is an interest email to see if we could get this "off the ground" and what teams may be interested in an event like this at the time we planned.

The details:

What and Who: A Middle School tournament with teams comprised of 7th and 8th graders only.  We'd like to get 10 teams divided in 2 pools and guarantee each team 4 dual meets with a bye by running 4 mats, also a championship round where the top 8 teams advance.  JV match opportunities would be set up by coaches during their dual and be wrestled immediately after the varsity dual.

When:  Dec. 2, 2017 Scales to open at 7 :30 AM; start wrestling by 9AM.  Hopefully conclude by 4:30.

Where:  Downingtown West High School main gym.

Sponors:  Downingtown "West Side" Wrestling Booster Club, Downingtown West High School Wrestling and Downingtown Middle School Wrestling

Entrance Fee:  $300

Why:  I personally love a dual meet tournament before Christmas at the Middle School level.  I believe it gives great mat experience for experienced and novice wrestlers alike and serves a a great team building experience to gel a new middle school team with varying ability levels.  I know other school run tournaments like this later in the season and even later in December; but we envision an "early" dual tournament to get wrestlers match and mat experience before most of our seasons kick into high gear, and hopefully work out some kinks and build camaraderie.

If enough interest in generated, an official invitation with all pertinent information will be sent to the teams participating.
