Rock Rumble

Where:      Newtown Middle School, 116 Newtown Richboro Road, Newtown, PA 18940

When:       Saturday, January 28^th, 2pm

Who:         7^th to 9^th (no varsity) grade wrestlers

Cost:          $5 per wrestler (Teams of 10+ contact for discount)

Unfortunately because of the expansion and costs of this event we can no longer run it for free as we have in the past.

No weigh-ins, no brackets, no trophies...

 JUST WRESTLING!

There will be all levels of ability at the Rock Rumble from novice to advanced club wrestlers.  The Rock Rumble was designed to get middle school kids, many who have not been exposed to club wrestling, but have the ability and desire to pursue wrestling in high school, some extra mat time in a tournament setting.

Coaches need to provide us with a list of their wrestlers (no later than 1/24) including their name, weight, grade, date of birth and ability.  Wrestlers will be matched up accordingly, with the goal of getting each wrestler 2 matches (some may get more, occasionally some will get less if we have no-shows, weight/ability issues).

This year our cap will be 250 wrestlers and we will run the event with 3 or 4 mats.  Last year we also had wrestlers attend from Council Rock, Truman, Bensalem, Neshaminy, PAL, Pennridge, Souderton, Marple Newtown, Pennsbury and Central Bucks.  We expect more clubs to attend this year, but space may be limited.
