Barnesville, Ohio Events (Spots open)

I am reaching out to invite your wrestling program to two exciting events hosted by Barnesville High School:

1. The 56th Annual Doan Ford-Barnesville Wrestling Invitational Dec 19-20

2. The 5th Annual Shamrock Duals Dec 13th

Doan Ford-Barnesville Wrestling Invitational
Date: December 19-20, 2025
This prestigious tournament will feature 22 top-tier programs from Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Virginia and has a strong tradition of high-level competition. We currently have a few open spots and are looking to add competitive teams to ensure the tournament remains as challenging and rewarding as ever. Many wrestlers who compete in this event go on to have successful seasons, and this past year alone, over 95 participants were state qualifiers, placers, or champions in their respective states. Several weight classes even featured multiple state finalists.

Notable teams that have attended in recent years include:

• Bishop McCourt (PA)
  
  

• Parkersburg South (WV) – Top 3 in WV Annually
  
  

• Frederick Douglas (KY) – Top 10 in KY Annually
  
  

• Mountainview (VA) – Currently Ranked #2 in VA
  
  

• Bishop Watterson, Nordonia, Northern Lebanon (PA), St. Vincent-St. Mary, Moeller, Wheeling Park (WV), Teays Valley
  
  

Many of these teams have already committed for next season, and I am continuing to work on adding high-quality teams to maintain the tournament’s strong reputation. We also offer 35 individual entry spots for teams that may want to send only their top wrestlers.

Spots will fill quickly, so please review your schedule and let me know by April 10th if you are interested in joining us.

5th Annual Shamrock Duals
Date: December 13, 2026
Location: Barnesville High School
This duals event will be run through Baumspage. Please submit your roster by December 12, 2026, at 7:00 PM.

Event Schedule: (All times are tentative)
7:00 AM - Doors open
8:00-9:00 AM - Weigh-in and skin check
10:00 AM - First round
11:00 AM - Second round
12:00 PM - Third round
Short Break
1:30 PM - Fourth round
2:30 PM - Fifth round
Award Presentation
