Tournament/Post-Season Team Under PIAA

My son was wrestling under a co-op last season and changes in PIAA rules and enrollments at the two participating schools have brought the co-op to an end.  Does anyone have any experience with, or just recall any examples you might point me to, of a PIAA high school that fielded a tournament only team for a season and/or just individuals competing in PIAA individual championships?
