Since 2007 District 1's very own Zack Kemmerer from Upper Perkiomen has held the all-time wins record for the PIAA at 199.

This year, it is likely to be surpassed by Aaron Seidel of Northern Lebanon from District 3.  He's a three time state champ going for his fourth this year. Career record of 191-3... not counting today's District 3 AA Duals.  With multiple post season tourneys ahead, barring injury there will be a new king.

But wait, Seidel may not hold the record for long. A junior from Montgomery in District 4, Brandt Harer, is sitting at 142 wins with this post season and all of next year.

Both Seidel and Harer are from AA schools, so Zack will retain his crown for AAA.

Cold iron shackles, ball and chain. Listen to the whistle of the evenin' train.

Keep an eye on McKaden Speece of Wilson (AAA). Currently a junior...He hit 100 after sophomore year. His pace seems a little slower this year, but it's possible.

And unless he changes his weight class, he will not be a favorite to 4-peat, which is a crazy thought.

I thought PIAA made changes a few years back to limit the number of bouts you could wrestle in a season? Any recollection or did I make that up in my head?

Teams are limited to 2 pooled events a season, but individual tournaments are getting bigger with more and more teams now.  So I suppose that's how it's possible to get more matches.  Plus long runs in the team post-season help too.

I see quite a tournaments out there this year where teams wrestle 6 duals in a day.

As long as its pooled I take it wrestling 6 times is ok?  Always seemed to be 5 max.
