Why when I kid transfers back into public school from a private school because they can’t afford it would the PIAA keep him from playing in the playoffs?  He’s been at the public school through summer camps and played the whole regular season.

I'm assuming you have a particular situation in mind when you posted this... (not asking you to mention any names though)

There is a part of the waiver process regarding a change in financial situation, that could result in eligibility being reinstated.  So if an individual transfers from a private school to a public school, they do have a way to appeal the automatic ruling of being ineligible.  Doesn't guarantee they'll win that appeal but there is a way.

D West has a Malvern Prep transfer on their football team.  He is ineligible for post season
