FCA

Why would QK do it? QK wrestles a great schedule, so their studs get a lot of good action during the year, so what is in it for them as a team? If more schools declined wrestling private recruiting schools for duals, would they be forced to move into the Inter-AC where they could wrestle the likes of Malvern on a regular basis and not be constrained by point restrictions? Seems like if you are building a super team that would be where you would want to wrestle.

For the duals this year, If FCA puts their starters on the mat, The CSR dual will have some good matches but FCA will beat them pretty by a wide margin. UD and CRN will not be close and if you combined the two scores I would bet that the over/under on points surrendered by FCA would be 10, and I would take the under. They also might not give up too many points at the Hamburg dual either.

So, why wrestle these teams? What's in it for FCA? In many instances, I have seen MP adjust their line-up where they don't put their stud on the mat unless the kid they are wrestling is also a stud. I think in this instance MP deserves some kudos. If they do this I could see some benefits, but the FCA roster is not big enough to do this so I can't figure out why they would want to compete against these schools.

Quakertown has some studs coming back, and the usual powers CRS, Spring Ford, and even Pennridge will be tough next year. That li sup listed above though is the deepest lineup in D1.  Actually, I was looking at the line-ups and I think Perk Valley might be the third best AAA team in D1 behind CRS and Quakertown.  You are correct, Perk Valley can’t be forgotten and will be right there. Also, can’t overlook Kennett next year. Only lost Barrett, bringing in a young hammer in Boyer to go along with a stack of state/regional qualifiers last year. They will be towards the top of D1 as well.

It’s tough to gauge because you don’t know who is going to be where. But I’ve tried to group kids into areas where they will likely be weight wise. Obviously missing some, going straight off memory.  

Does anyone know what this year's Malvern Prep team looks like from top to bottom? Even if it's only a ballpark estimation. I would appreciate it.

I took it as a reference to recruiting.

On this point, however, this is why team states should be divided between public vs private schools and individual states should be everyone (IMO). While many here don't like Malvern (for whatever reason) at least they don't pretend to not recruit. It would be cool though to see all the best talent on display in Hershey regardless of school as long as they are PA residents of course.

Unless I'm mistaken, neither of the Bachmann boys will be in HS this year. One in 8th, one in 6th or 7th.  But they are bringing in a few other kids this year that have not won it but are finalists and top 4 guys:
