10. Will Morrow - North Penn
In a highly-contested 138-pound bracket, Morrow picked up his first sectional championship a year ago. He reached states for the first time with a 5th-place finish and is 53-22 after 2 years.

9. Alan Alexander - Boyertown
Though still looking for his trip to Hershey, Alexander has made regionals both years, fighting off vets in the middleweights for 1 sectional title. He finished 6th in the region as a sophomore and is 51-27 overall.

8. Dom D'Agostino - Interboro
With two trips to regionals, one coming off a section title, D'Agostino punched his ticket to Hershey last winter. He's only wrestled 60 matches so far, but he's won 45 of them, 25 by pin.

7. Chance Babb - Boyertown
Under the radar much of last season, Babb was another in a long line of Bears to compete in Hershey after a 4th-place regional finish. He's been to regions both years, has a section title and is 51-32.

6. Mike Miller - Plymouth Whitemarsh
It's no easy task, treading the heavyweight waters as a youngster, but Miller worked his way to the regional final last winter after not placing as a freshman. He has 1 section title and is 59-16.

5. Cannon Hershey - Oxford
A fiery competitor, Hershey is 61-19 and ended his season in Hershey last winter. He was a win away from states as a freshman, but pinned his way to the regional final last year.

4. Chase Barlow - Strath Haven
With a pair of sectional championships, Barlow has survived his way to states both years with 5th and 4th-place regional finishes. He got his first win in Hershey last year and is 67-19

3. Dominic Findora - Downingtown West
Findora has been to states both years, reaching the blood round a year ago. He is a 1-time sectional champ and made the regional finals last year after placing 5th as a freshman. He's 74-22.

2. Matt Colajezzi - Council Rock South
With the most wins in in his class in District 1 3A, with a record of 75-23, Colajezzi won right away as a middleweight. He reached the blood round of states as a freshman and made it back last season. He's a 1-time regional finalist and 2-time sectional champ.

1. Eric Alderfer - Faith Christian Academy
The lone state medalist in the class, Alderfer finished eighth in the AA tournament as a sophomore, after being eliminated in the blood round as a freshman. He has a district title to his name and 5th and 3rd-place regional finishes and is 76-19.

A kid I'd consider for this list, somewhere lower on the list or at the very least a strong H.M. is Quinn Collins from Central Bucks East. 2 time regional placewinner, once at the NE region his freshman year, beating his sectional champ in that 5th 6th match, and again at the SE region his sophomore year, where he made states. Sitting on a 53-22 record, definitely has the specs to do damage this year, and hunt for his own state metal.

I would like to contest this list. Include Malvern Prep juniors and every wrestler on the list moves down 5 spots. Nick Feldman, Cole Deery, Jack Wehmeyer, Caden Rogers, Andrew Connolly. Go ahead just admit it.

Well the post is titled most accomplished returning Juniors. Sounds as if you should have an asterisk next to title. The 5 I mentioned all attend school within the geographical boundaries of D1. “Most accomplished” should not need a qualifying rebuttal.

Yes, but this is a forum for district 1. It can be assumed every topic is based on district 1 wrestlers, unless stated otherwise.

This is a District 1 forum... Also, most of those kids are older than most District 1 seniors.

Weird..... nobody refuting my claim. Just making excuses and throwing mud. How many 17 year olds on your list? How many 16 year olds?

But to refute your comment of most...... I mentioned two 16 year olds, two 17 year olds, and one is the age of seniors. So MOST on your part is a terrible assumption.

You could call Deery a returning junior since he was a junior last year and he's a junior again this year.

That’s fine, add him to the SR list and bump everyone down 1 spot! Everyone on the JR list goes down 4 spots.

I don't agree. I guess we will have to wait for escape the rock 2022 to prove it.

Not really midway through the wrestling season. Most teams have their first match tomorrow.

Also, not sure what you mean by "refuting" your claim. Other than arguing that outside of leagues, the prep juniors are better than the D1 juniors? That can be covered by the state rankings. This forum is going to mostly concern itself with PIAA district 1. Thats why you dont hear much talk about D12 or D2 or Jersey or any other wrestlers here.

The proposal was 2022 ETR, it’s not happening this year.

Ding Donger,

The wrestlers you mentioned are top notch wrestlers. I do not think anyone who follows the sport would refute that.

For you to contest this list really makes no sense. The list is clearly all District one wrestlers.   MO did a great job putting this together (thank you!). No one is stopping you from putting your own list together... and your wrestlers may geographically be within the district but they don’t participate in district one or the PIAA.

Get the ball rolling on a prep list, I am interested in seeing it.. just make sure to include an asterisk next to every wrestler who reclassified their grade.
