Thanks but this wouldn't be possible without all the help and work from Joe Stabilito and Gary Pflieger.  They are doing the data entry, making my job a lot easier!

A few stats based on results entered so far... back to 1981 for AAA and 1985 for AA

Any medal count: 4,068 (45.291%)
1 medal: 2,580 (28.724%)
2 medals: 1,002 (11.156%)
3 medals: 361 (4.019%)
4 medals: 125 (1.392%)

Total wrestlers with championships:
Any champ count: 674 (7.504%)
1 championship: 522 (5.812%)
2 championships: 114 (1.269%)
3 championships: 30 (0.334%)
4 championships: 8 (0.089%)

Another interesting stat that people have asked about before... who pinned everyone in the state tournament on their way to the state championship?  Based on what we have so far, here's the short list of just 7 guys who've done it.  This isn't pinning all the way through the post-season, just going 4-0 at states with 4 pins.

1983 - Joe Cesari (Junior, North Schuylkill, 138 pounds, AA)
1983 - Tony Koontz (Junior, Delone Catholic, Unlimited, AA)
1991 - Jeff Walter (Senior, Shikellamy, 189 pounds, AAA)
1993 - Chuck Yale (Senior, Brookville, 145 pounds, AA)
1998 - Josh Snyder (Senior, Hershey, 275 pounds, AA)
2004 - Mike Spaid (Senior, Boyertown, 275 pounds, AAA)
2010 - Evan Craig (Senior, Abington Heights, 285 pounds, AAA)

I wonder how many champs didn't medal the next year. Nate Gaffney comes to mind.

1989 - Michael Warrick (AA, JR, Meyersdale)

Kirk Stehman won state in 92 after he won it in 91. His name is spelled different "Stedman" in the 1992 bracket. In 1991 he beat Brannon Seaman by one point in the semis. Surprised Seaman took second that year @Regions to Brian Crosby of Glen Mills.

Jeff Walter pinned his way through the entire post season.  Equally impressive is that he did not give up a point at states that year.
Win or lose, do it with class!

Luke Pletcher medaled as a runner up this year cbal24.

Garrett Scott never had a chance to defend his title his senior year due to the fact he was suspended from school the week of states, thus eliminating his opportunity to compete & capture his 4th state title.

Scott also left Edinboro before his eligibility was up for unknown reasons.

Probably most of them had a story.

Glen Koser was running through his senior year like a freight train when he hurt his knee.  One of the two most dominating wrestlers in the history of District 1 in my opinion.  The other being Kwortnik, of course. He was a pleasure to watch but I'd guess a nightmare to go against.  He used legs like a hammer.

And Jones got mono during the season and was a shadow of himself by the post-season.  Coincidentally, Koser was Jones' coach.

Oh, good catch...thanks!  I've fixed that bracket and will update the above post as well.

Correct...this list was guys who won a title one year and didn't medal the next.  The list of guys who didn't repeat the next year has quite a few members on it.

Rod Martin who won in 85 also won in 86 & 87 - but went by Rod Martin-Wright in 1986 & Rodney Wright in 1987.
