I heard conflicting stories about Exeter Duals today. Does anyone know if Downingtown West refused to wrestle Malvern Prep or if Malvern Prep walked out of dual for unknown reasons. I was told there was a long break after third round, then a coaches meeting took place and then Malvern left with two more scheduled matches. That is all the info I have, I am not sure which other teams if any were involved.
From what I understand. It wasn’t west but some of the other teams complained that they were gonna wrestle Malvern twice. The tournament directors re-shuffled the brackets to make everyone happy. Anyone who knows Coach Breese knows that he’s always looking for the toughest matches for his wrestlers. That’s why there competitive year after year. I wish malvern the best and Nate is a great coach but maybe they can move on from this like a big boy!! There’s nothing to see here

Poor understanding. There was 2 different Malvern teams there. They weren’t going to wrestle the same team.

Poor understanding. There was 2 Malvern teams there. Not the same team.
Tournament director had the ultimate say. I can name at least half a dozen past and present wrestlers that coach Breese has sent down to
Malverns room to workout with Nate and his team to get better partners but for some reason you think he would dodge there A-team. Come on!! This whole thread is silly

Get the facts straight. The tournament director didn’t make the decision. Why would he let Malvern enter 2 teams. And then changed his mind. Your argument makes no sense.
I understand that they had 2 teams. I’m telling you it wasn’t Downingtowns decision not to wrestle.Â
Well whose decision was it?
This is like a damm Soap Opera
This is one of the best comments I've ever seen..."like a damn Soap Opera". Yup. Seems to turn that way when things don't go the way they want them to go.
So what’s the final verdict? Did Malvern skip their final 2 matches because they had somewhere better to be? Did Downingtown cry foul after they saw the competition? Or did the same tournament director who let 2 Malvern teams enter the tournament realize the errors of his ways?
