Forgot to post this here late last night, but we did release unofficial state brackets... They are now the official brackets. There were no major changes or corrections from what was released as "unofficial" overnight.

Mason Zeigler is very likely making the finals IMO. He has a great draw.
Colin Gaj (District 1 top wrestler) will have to beat Scanlon, Taddy, Repos and Church to win states. If he does, then he's OW. I'm the first to predict it; Gaj wins states!
Bekhruz Sadriddiov has a great draw to the semis where he'll have to face Shawn Taylor. I think Taylor is one of the best pound for pound wrestlers in this tournament.
At 215, Dillon Bechtold will have a must see semifinal with Jose Garcia from J.P. McCaskey. I can't wait to watch it.
I like the way the seeding formula worked this year with the exception of 189. Tucker Hogan and Vaughn Spencer meet in the semis when they are definitely the two best wrestlers in the weight class.
I think District 1 will do great at 107 and 215. I think 139, 152 and 172 could end up with District 1 being shut out of the medal stand. I don't think 189 will be great either but I think someone will get on.

Interesting prediction. Are you doing a state preview video?

What's the point of doing the video if it won't be released?

Obviously all 11 AA qualifiers are back for Faith next year:
Sophomores: Botero, Hontz, Stein, Sugalski, Freshmen: Davidheiser, Waltenbaugh, Wagner, Weidemoyer, Waters, Singer, Effendian
Lot of talent will be back in District 1 next year. Good luck to the seniors in their last hurrahs.

While the entire FC team are at least one year hold backs, if you look through the public school lists, there are quite a few holdbacks as well. I believe one of those freshman should be a junior.

I'm hating myself for coming to the defense of FCA but almost every top wrestler is held back these days. It's absurd but it's just the way it is now. I think our last four-time state champ was nearly 20 years old when he graduated high school. Also, there's an "8th grader" for District 7 that would be a serious contender to win states this week at either 113 or 121 if he wasn't held back.

I think that is incorrect. I believe the rule is that you cannot turn 19 before July 1st of the summer before your senior year.
So it is well within the rules to turn 19 from July 1st on and at any time during Senior year.

Reihner v. Farchild Gaj v. Taddy Evans v. Harmon Pardo v. Makel (athletic big guys is always a fun match)
Rocco Welsh is the best wrestler in this tournament!
