Careful with the accusations like this.  That kind of stuff is simply not tolerated here.

What happened was two Sun Valley wrestlers (who were listed back to back on the sheet) had their weights mistakenly switched when written down on the weigh-in sheet.  Unfortunately the coaches did not catch it during weigh-ins, so the weight on the sheet is what had to be used for both wrestlers yesterday.

The wrestler in question actually made weight for 139, making him eligible for 139 and 145 but the sheet showed making weight for 133... making him ineligible for 145.

I'm honestly surprised something like this doesn't happen more often (maybe it does and it's just never noticed).  Anyone who's used these weigh-in sheets knows the layout of it is terrible and is recipe for problems like this.

This is a different time in District 1

It used to be representing something bigger than yourself.

This sport is about teaching kids to leave this place better than they found it. Cheating doesn’t teach them that.

Who misses the Let’s Go Rappo chants throughout Hersey. “There will be more in a couple few years!

You now have people in the sport looking out for themselves. There are individuals that had the privilege of coming through the prominent programs, and I hope they carry the lessons learned through their time. This sport is great because the athletes who do the right things and work their tail off get rewarded for it. It’s not all about “strength of schedule” yeah it will help, but the kids competing can only do what’s in front of them.

It’s on the coaches to set a better example moving forward!

I am sure you are right - and if so, the SV coaching staff showed their inexperience in dealing with these moments. That can not happen when you are trying to win district duals. There is a reason it does not happen more often - teams that win pay attention to the details. They let their kids down in the big moment.

These people are the reason the rest of the state don’t give us any respect, and why our kids underperform in the postseason. You can get your panties in a wad all you want, but at the end of the day the facts are the facts. If you look at the programs in district 1 that have postseason success, both as a team and individually, they have stand up coaches, who put the kids first and prepare the kids for postseason. THATS how our sport is supposed to work.

We know your son wasn't good enough to get into Faith, from earlier posts. Maybe he got beat yesterday too. Sun Valley won a lot of bouts yesterday so there's a good chance this is true and you're salty. Maybe you should get your GPS out and send your kids to better competition.

Commenting on your moronic comments on the other thread that you tried to derail. Gamble Williams used a well timed whirlybird as Cole was in on the winning takedown to avoid losing. If you’re  not cheating, you’re not trying. That’s the Delco way! As for us finding a room in Aston, I couldn’t find it on a map, even with the help of a GPS. I’m too busy finding actual good wrestling rooms to take my kids to. I see you went back and looked at my old comments, but you weren’t intelligent enough to comprehend the fact that my son has a very favorable birthday, and we held him back twice. Therefore, he’s not in high school.

Now I am done arguing with you, peasant. You obviously have a lot to learn still.

If you have to drive somewhere else to find good wrestling rooms, apparently you don't live in Sun Valley territory.
