106: Nothing unusual, good job by Logue for getting it done.
113: Iuliano smashed it like expected
120: Weinberg upsetted Guinan in my eyes. Then proceeded to get pinned by Logue
126: Exactly how I thought this weigh would play out.
132: eck with the big upset over Lawlor, great wrestling
138: I thought the most exciting weight. Otoole v Johnson was nonstop action and so was Hartman v Johnson.
145: loughney with the upset over swift who then lost to Cataldi (Ryan’s records are bloated).
152: I did not think Thomas would beat McQuaid but kutoos to him.
160: ward with the upset over Noorchashm with a quick fall. Kidwell dominated though.
170: played out how I thought
182: another example of Ryan’s bloated records with jones dominating DeCoo and the whole bracket
195: great job by grace with the upset over Richardson.
220: not an unexpected result
285: what happened to Mersky but good wrestling by burns

pmacsters can't really tell if you're an under achieving adult or an angry teenager but you really seem to have a personal issue with Ryan's wrestling team?!? You should keep your personal issues to yourself and definitely off the forum.

He’s right Ryan just pats on their record and don’t go to difficult tournaments like judge and wood so maybe your just a salty individual

Wow. For three years I wished for more dialogue on D12 forum. Now we got this. I'll give the whole lot of PCL supporters someone to yell at... Pubs win 7 weights at districts! This is supposed to be for fun right?

Definitely 285, 220, 195, 170, 152, 138
Possibly 182, 160
and a slight chance at 126 and 113?

Public League could win the majority of the weights actually. Not a far stretch

A friend told me the PPL, since 2008, has never won more than 5 weights. So the over/under is 6. I'll go... um... wait a minute... OVER!

SirBarkley,

First of all You don’t know who I am so don’t assume things. Second of all the reason I have an issue with Ryan is not because I dislike their team, it’s because quite frankly I am sick of seeing kids with records looking like the majority kids at states (most kids at states have around 0-10 losses) and then they can’t even perform against kids with half their wins/losses. It’s basically like all the coaches care about is what their wrestlers records look like instead of how good they actually are. If the coaches really cared about how they did, they would put their wrestlers into the hardest matches possible for them to learn but instead all they do is fluff up their records which is why the kids don’t get any better. No other team in the PCL does this. Now I’m not saying that Ryan has no good kids because they definitely have a few very talented wrestlers but it really makes me upset when I have to see kids with records astronomically high but then can’t compete at that level. It’s not fair to the seeding or the other wrestlers which is why I’m all for head to head records for seeding instead of watching Ryan’s BS records give them all the good seeds in all the tournaments.

seeding only matters at the sectional tournament. even then very little.
maybe the match that should be the final happens in the semis... so what?
district/region/state seeds all go by how the wrestler placed at the previous tournament.

PPL should have four weights pretty convincingly. I have PCL with six in all likelihood. I have four down as good toss-ups. PPL for 6 should be pretty close I'd suspect.

Barman I'd definitely have 152 and 138 in the not definite category, good wrestlers saturate both sections. Definitely should be good weights to watch this weekend.

I hadn't even though about the PCL vs PPL champion count though, should be fun to track. I think they'll reach 6 and break their record, but it will require going through tough competition.

I wish Pisarchuk could wrestle and others who are out. The 160 pound weight class was boring to match, knowing Kidwell was going to dominate. Should be more fun to watch this week because of Morales. I have Kidwell winning that match.

I agree 152 is not definite but it has a good chance of going PPL. I was surprised many thought it was going to be contested in the PPL's. 160 has 3 kids who could win it. Should be fun. Injuries are a part of it for sure Mulletman. Best of luck next year to all those kids.

Officially since 2009 (when PCL joined PIAA) the most D12 AAA weights the PPL has won is 4 (28.6%) which it has done twice:
- 2016: 126-G.Nau (FTC)/ 145-R.Palmer (MBA)/ 170-E.Morales (MBA) & 195-M.Lee (SP)
- 2018: 152-L.Anderson (Cen), 160-A.Garcia (MBA), 195-D.Tilghnan (OVB) & 220-J.Coles (NE)

If you include the City Championship Era (1976-1984) 4 of 12 weight classes (33.3%)
- 1980: 108-Barry Staley (Simon Gratz)/ 158-Otilio Robledo (NE)/ 188-Terril Tate (Gratz) & UNL-Nelson Lynn (OVB)

Low year was 2010 with no PPL champions.
