They input all the known forfeits before the actual matches started

Looking at the box score there were 3 bouts contested for a total of 7 min and 43 seconds of wrestling for the entire night.  8 bouts by forfeit and 3 by double forfeit.  I hope they didn't charge admission...

You think that's crazy, take a look at this:

kid hasn't wrestling since 12/11, but has 9 wins since. What's going on here??

Would a wrestler like that be ranked high for section seeding? If so that is a travesty.
But what do I know

He must have some sort of injury, because he had 29 wins as a freshman with 19 of those being pins.  Based on last year this isn't a kid who doesn't have any talent and is just "lucking out" with just forfeits.

His team has forfeited his weight to opponents on the same days where he has earned forfeits himself, meaning they simply don't want him wrestling an actual opponent.  Guess we'll see next week if he actually wrestles post season or not.

Begs to answer the question again if you should really get credit for simply having a body step on the mat and get 6 team points when this situation clearly shows that they have no intention of actually wrestling.

smells of a data entry issue
Win or lose, do it with class!

How about all of the teams that FF to a good kid... should he get credit? It’s part of the sport, sometime it’s a coin flip that wins a dual, sometimes it’s a upset or an awesome coaching job. It all plays out in post season wrestling

I was referring to the team score aspect, not the individual record since, yes, that all gets worked out in post season.

Yeah poor kid broke his foot in December. I saw him in a boot at a tournament. He’s a returning regional qualifier and it looks like the team used him for forfeits. Coach Clark and his crew are solid guys. I am pretty sure there is no data entry issue. I heard this wrestler is going to wrestle districts. Not sure what he will do since he hasn’t wrestled since December but crazy things have happened before to guys who come in well rested.
