I just noticed this now but I believe Faith Christian Academy has five incoming PJW champions. That's unreal and has to be a record. Bishop McCort only has three and. BECA is only getting one.
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but FCA is getting the following PJW champs
82: Fred Bachman 97: Joe Bachman 147: Cade Weidemoyer 187: Adam Waters 212: Jason Singer
Also, there were 18 PJW champs in 2022. Eleven of them are going to four schools (FCA, Malvern, BECA and Bishop McCort).

Unless I'm mistaken, neither of the Bachmann boys will be in HS this year. One in 8th, one in 6th or 7th. But they are bringing in a few other kids this year that have not won it but are finalists and top 4 guys: Davidheiser Sidun O'Brien Waltenbaugh Wagner another Singer (not sure he's in 9th yet)

Landon Sidun is not coming here. That was a said in error on a recent podcast. I’m pretty positive his family is happy at Norwin.

I took it as a reference to recruiting.
On this point, however, this is why team states should be divided between public vs private schools and individual states should be everyone (IMO). While many here don't like Malvern (for whatever reason) at least they don't pretend to not recruit. It would be cool though to see all the best talent on display in Hershey regardless of school as long as they are PA residents of course.

So my guess is their dual meet line-up will look something like this:
106: K. Davidheiser, PJW 3rd 113: J. O'Brien, PJW 5th (brutal weight class) 120: S. Hunter, 21-8 126: G. Botero, 45-7 State 3rd 132: C. Hontz, 31-10 State Qualifier 138: C. Wagner, 27-16 State Qualifier 145: M. Stein, 35-12 State 6th 152: C. Weidemoyer PJW 1st 160: L. Sugalski 33-12 State Qualifier 172: A. Waters PJW 1st 189: C. Sine 12-11 215: J. Singer PJW 1st HWT:
I originally thought they would become the best team in D1 in the 23-24 season. I was wrong. They are the best team now. Probably the second-best PIAA team in the state, behind BECA.

Does anyone know what this year's Malvern Prep team looks like from top to bottom? Even if it's only a ballpark estimation. I would appreciate it.

It’s tough to gauge because you don’t know who is going to be where. But I’ve tried to group kids into areas where they will likely be weight wise. Obviously missing some, going straight off memory.
106-120: Anthony Mutarelli - National Prep Champ, Ranked #8 Nationally at 113 by Matscouts Tommy Link: Multiple Time National Prep Placer, Escape the Rock Champ, in and out of national rankings. Committed to Army. Lukas Littleton-Mascaro: PJW state champ last year at 112. One of the top incoming freshman in PA. Tyler Conroy: PJW JH 4th at 92 pounds last year. Leo Pezone: PJW JH 4th at 107 pounds last year.
126-145: Jack Consiglio: National Prep champ and runner up. Ranked #14 nationally at 132 by Matscouts. Just beat PA state champ Dalton Perry at True Power. Spencer Barnhart: National Prep champ and runner up. Ironman, Beast, Powerade, ETR placer. In and out of national rankings. Penn commit. Nick O’Neill: National Prep 3rd, Powerade 3rd, Ironman 4th, ETR 4th. In and out of national rankings. Recent Army Commit. Jason Torres: Backup last year but had wins in the season over Tony Burke, Rozanski, Gavin Sheridan, Chase Hontz, all who were state qualifiers last year.
152-Up: SP O’Donnell: National Prep 8th at 138 last year. Reed Fullmer: National Prep 3rd and 6th. Beast, Powerade, ETR placer. Penn Commit. Nate Rickards: National Prep 7th last year. Duncan Christensen: Injured last year. Win over state runner up Garvick at Waterway this year. Nick Wehmeyer Brian Chamberlain: PJW 7th last year at 140 Roman Bruno Phil Tabasso

Correct, this is the best team in D1 and they will be for a good bit. Quakertown has some studs coming back, and the usual powers CRS, Spring Ford, and even Pennridge will be tough next year. That li sup listed above though is the deepest lineup in D1.

Actually, I was looking at the line-ups and I think Perk Valley might be the third best AAA team in D1 behind CRS and Quakertown.

You are correct, Perk Valley can’t be forgotten and will be right there. Also, can’t overlook Kennett next year. Only lost Barrett, bringing in a young hammer in Boyer to go along with a stack of state/regional qualifiers last year. They will be towards the top of D1 as well.

Good call on Kennett. They look good and actually have two incoming freshmen.

I thought a red and a grey shirt were required to wrestle at these school. If you cant drive to your freshman orientation they are not interested.

Looks like it garnered a response It is a partial truth thought that's why it bugs the people that love the stacked/recruit teams, and will argue it is fair. I admit, I am anxious to see how bad they crush the public school teams they wrestle. Should be an epic season for them.
I'm surprised they don't have Quakertown on their schedule, that would be a good rivalry to start.

Word on the streets is that Faith has tried to get a dual meet with quakertown and they decline. Last year and for the upcoming season.

If you look at Quakertown's schedule, outside of tournaments and league matches, they only have 2 comp points left, which they use for duals with neighbor rival Pennridge (who they wrestle every year) and CR South.
