I'm on the fence about Quakertown v. Pennridge. I'm convinced the team that gets to seven wins will have more points. If Quakertown goes 139: Carroll, 145: Gaj, 152: Borzio, then the match will be decided by Carroll/Kuhn. If Quakertown goes 145: Carroll, 152: Gaj, 160: Borzio, then the match will be decided by Borzio/Gallagher.

We should just talk it out, since many will not be able to attend due to electronic ticketing ;). Hopefully we see all the teams at full strength Saturday, should be a great day!
1. CR South vs 8. OJR I was doing way too many mental gymnastics the first time I looked at this matchup. OJR can definitely win 6 matches and there will be bonus points. When I look for that 7th win is when I really struggle. If CRS just sends their top lineup out Saturday morning at 107-133 in this dual and they do what is expected, they will be very tough to beat, no lineup juggling or risk taking required. In my opinion OJRs best lineup typically puts Gautreau out at 160. This is not the matchup to do that - I would struggle to get past 5 wins if they do.
South has only given up 30+ points in a dual twice this year, in their two losses. If Cole wins at 152, or they can bump away if they choose to because they control 152 (assuming they did enough at the early weights), OJRs chances dwindle. Same if OJR decides to weigh him in at 160 and send him all the way up to 172 - could happen! Either way CRS should have enough. Cole / Gautreau should be great if it happens! CRS wins 36-30.
4. Spring-Ford vs 5. Boyertown
This was a 7-6 matchup a few weeks ago - Spring-Ford lost by decisions and Boyertown lost by falls and injury defaults. Boyertown probably has to force some matchups at 114 and 127 to improve their chances here. Neither Heimbach nor Sheridan have wrestled at those weights since the end of December however, so that might not be possible. Boyertown has surrendered 30+ points 10 times this year, losing the first 5 times, winning the last 5. SF has only given up 30+ 3 times, losing all 3.
If I knew that Boyertown would control 114 and 127 with their two big guns I would strongly consider going the other way, thinking they could steal an extra win in that scenario, but I have to stick with the team that has proven they can keep the score down when they need to. If Boyertown can not make those weights it is probably not going to be this close. SF wins 30-27.
3. Pennridge vs 6. Quakertown
Throw out the first matchup - neither lineup looks the same at this point. If Pennridge weighs Coffin in at 114 for the day he should probably wrestle there in this match. They win 107 and 114. Then Qtown takes the next 2. We jump to where Kuhns has to go 139 to maximize points, Qtown bumps Carroll and Gaj to 145 and 152. Jumping up again, Pennridge wins 172, 189, and wherever Lachman does not wrestle.
So I have it 6-5 Pennridge at this point, most likely we are looking at both teams around 30 points. 133 and 160 determine the match and Qtown probably needs both. I think I like their chances in those two matchups, even though the amount of bonus they seem to always surrender scares me. Qtown wins 33-33 (criteria win 7-6).
2. Sun Valley vs 10. Perk Valley
It is very easy to mentally get to six wins for PV, but the 7th is really hard to find. Still, I think we find out a lot about SV in this match. They run basically 2 lineups, Delaney at 127 or Delaney at 133 and then they try to get the best / most important matchup with AGW from 152-172 that maximizes points or points saved. He can not be weighed in for both 152 and 172 on this day though, which may factor in as the day goes on. I would want him at 152 for this match I think, with Kakos probably not 100%
My guess is that SV is looking to win 107 or 114 (wherever Tancini is not) and then run the table from 121-145 with one of the two big weights heavily favoring them (perhaps even a forfeit). Boyertown did the same thing last night. PV has to keep SV around 30 points and get big bonus where they can - can they limit losses to decision or major most of the time in that run? Finding 7 wins would be even bigger. Selfishly I hope something unexpected happens in the 121-139 range, because that is probably the only way we could see Kakos / Carr. SV wins 36-30.

And then the hypothetical semis and finals. Make it to the finals and you have a great chance to win at least 1 in Hershey during your trip.
1. CR South vs 4. Spring-Ford
The first matchup offers very little information, which is good for SF. This time around it is much closer, but I would still expect CRS to win 7 matches and there are spots where they are going to get bonus. Both teams have used a lot of wrestlers this year - I think South makes a move at the lower weights that makes a difference. CRS wins 34-25
2. Sun Valley vs 6. Quakertown
I picked against Qtown in the first round, and if Pennsbury controlled the matchup at 121 they might have found a way. My concerns with their team remain. They would dictate matchups in this one though, and it should be close.
Qtown would have to find 7 wins, most likely requiring 3 wins from 107-127. It could happen. If they control 145 that would be a problem for SV as well, could not get Carr away from Gaj if that was the plan. Borzio / AGW would be fun. I think Pennridge would also win here so I am talking myself into Quakertown. Qtown wins 30-30 (criteria 7-6).
Final qualifiers: 1. CR South 2. Quakertown 3. Pennridge 4. Sun Valley
*If Pennridge beats Qtown, I would have them 2 and Spring-Ford making it.

I don't know why you worry that many will not be able to attend due to electronic ticketing??
As far as I know - doors open at 7:45am and you can EITHER pre-purchase your ticket
OR
buy ticket at door using credit/debit card. They just are not accepting cash at the door.
Shouldn't be too hard to comply with, even for us old folks
