Several D1 wrestlers are doing alright at this tournament
Qtr Finalists:
  Adam Waters-FCA  Arment Waltenbaugh-FCA  Jason Singer-FCA  Chase Hontz-FCA Cael Weidamoyer-FCA  Mark Effendian-FCA (I see a pattern developing) Gauge Botero-FCA  Luke Sulgalski-FCA  Max Stein-FCA  Mason Zeigler-Qtown  Calvin Lachman-Qtown
There is a tourney for each class, and I listed them by Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors; which is why all the Faith Christian kids are listed first. The Qtown kids are Juniors.
I've watched most of the matches, and the FCA boys aren't breathing heavily yet. They've pretty much mowed down the competition. In the Round of 16, Botero's third bout of the day, Gage put a kid from Connecticut on his back so quickly and in such a surprising way that after the ref slapped the mat, the other kid came up smiling. He was like, "What just hit me!?"

I saw a couple other D1 kids wrestling pretty well, but they didn't make the Quarters. Kennett's Josh Barlow won 3 before losing 3-2 in the Round of 16. His first win was in the Round of 128, I kid you not.

Still wrestling in the consolation rounds: Sam Kuhns-Pennridge  Hunter Delaney-Sun Valley
I probably missed a few guys. They only identify the wrestlers by state.

It's remarkable and pretty unbelievable that Faith entered nine wrestlers (that I recognized) and none have lost a match.

You missed a lot of kids. Without listing every individual I recognized, these are the schools I recognized a lot of kids from, ignoring the seniors (there are some of them too).

Sun Valley (maybe 7+ kids?)
Pennridge (same, think Martinelli and Coffin are not there, there might be 10 others who are there though. Hogan in QFs)
Quakertown (no Gaj, but lots of others including kids who did not wrestle much varsity this year. )

Individuals I noticed who are not part of a big team down there

Nafshi from Harriton
Neill and Thomas from CB South
The older Dennis and Kelly from CB West
Cole from CRS
OBrien from FCA (in QFs freshman, not a starter at FCA)
Lledo from Lower Merion
Jones Upper Merion
Scharrer (HH)

I am sure I missed some kids as well. That is a lot of district 1 kids extending their seasons. Might be close to 50.

So FCA takes 10 athletes, 6 frosh and 4 sophomore.  They have 3 1st, 1 2nd, 1 3rd, 2 4th, 2 6th, and 1 DNP.  The amazing thing about it is that Botero isn't one of the champs, he took 3rd.

3 frosh champs Weidemoyer, Waters, Singer, Effendian 2nd,  Waltenbaugh 4th, O'Brien 6th

0 sophomore finalists Botero 3rd, Stein 4th, Hunt 6th, and Sugalski DNP

Talan Hogan 7th at sophomore 170

Mason Ziegler loses the junior 126 final to Nik O'Neil 5-0 only D1 place winner in the age group

Calvin Lachman (QT) took 3rd at 220 junior.

Ryan Rowe (Pennridge) was the runner up at 182 freshman.

G. Carroll, B. Carr and G. Cole all lost in the blood round (soph).
