Well, here's to hoping your beloved St. Joe's Prep and the BECAs of the world can go somewhere lonely and play against their own kind:

This could have a huge impact on D12 wrestling. Word on the street is if the PIAA goes to a Public  Non-Public Alignment D12 will leave the PIAA. The PCL for obvious reasons (no cathment areas and non-public schools) and the PPL because our league is a mix of traditional public schools with catchment zones, magnet schools (Central, MAterman, etc....) and Charters.

So my question is this. IF this goes through and IF D12 leaves the PIAA what does that mean for D12 Wrestling? Does the PCL go back to National Preps? Does the PPL follow suit? They can because any team that does not take part in its states athletic association is eligible to qualify for the National Prep tournament.

I think it would be a transition that takes some time but in the long run would benefit D12 wrestling.

The Positives:No more PIAA competition points and restrictions on the types of events we can attend.  If you want to go to a pooled event every weekend so be it. Can still hold PCL and PPL tourneys and perhaps even an "unofficial" D12 championship tourney.

The Negatives: How to break the tradition of the PAISWT finals being a dual meet between Malvern Prep and Wyoming Seminary.

Would love to hear other's thought on this matter!
